Yeah you just read that! I saw Queen RiRi and her ANTI World Tour. I still haven't realize but that happened.
I went to her concert in Milan last Wednesday and it was AMAZING!!!! Since it was an incredible experience I want to share with you what I did that day and everything that happened.... Hope you will enjoy this post!
Let's start by saying I had been waiting this moment for years, literally. She's my icon and queen since I was like 7/8 years old. Last time she came to Italy it was for her LOUD Tour in 2011 but my parents didn't let me go. Back in December she announced her ANTI World Tour and when I saw that she was coming to Milan I freaked out!!! I HAD TO GET THE TICKETS!
The day tickets went on sale I immediately bought it and I was able to get the VIP package, the Golden Circle Early Entry. YASSS!!! I went crazy but I still couldn't realize because there were more than 200 days left.
Anyways lets get to the day of the show. I woke up at 3 am in order to have breakfast, to have a shower and get ready to leave. I had to take the train at 5:30 but since the train station is not near I had to leave earlier to get there in time.
The train arrived in Milan at 6:28 and after that I immediately took the underground to get to the stadium. In about 30 minutes I was there. There were already about 50 people queueing at my gate. The excitement kept rising with time passing by and I was soo nervous.
At 1 pm they started to gave us the tickets, bracelets and the vip gadgets. With our tickets we had to go queueing in a different gate which opened at 4 pm. From this gate they checked our bags and they took us inside the stadium in little groups. I tried to stay calm but I was freaking out inside and once near the stage I ran to get the front row and I did it!!!!! After hours of queueing I managed to be under that stage and I was almost crying.
The show should have started at 6:30 with DJ Mustard but unfortunately the weather started to get bad around 6:00 and the initial rain turned into a storm with loads and loads of rain. People with seated tickets were covered but us in the standing area were under the rain. It wouldn't stop and people were afraid it would have been cancelled but luckily around 7:00 pm the weather started to get better. Dj Mustard came out around 7:30 pm and he played for an hour, then Big Sean came out and he sang for an hour as well. I have to say that I really liked Big Sean , he sang really good.
Now the moment I was waiting for was closer than ever... Queen RiRi was about to come on stage!!!!!!
At 10:15 pm the lights went down and the music started playing... The visuals were playing on the screen and RiRi appeared from the bottom of the stadium to walk towards the little stage in the center of the standing area. Being in front row I couldn't see her but when her face was shown on the big screen I started crying...
I couldn't believe that after all those years she was right there in all her beauty. She seemed a doll, a beautiful and perfect doll with those big eyes.
She sang Stay and Love The Way You Lie on the little stage, then the glass thing came and she walked on there to sing Woo and Sex With Me. I was dying, her voice is perfect, more than I would have imagined. She sings way better than the albums too and it seemed surreal.
After that she arrived on the main stage where she went on singing Birthday Cake, Pour It Up, Numb and Bitch Better Have My Money.
Her voice is flawless, no playback and not a wrong note. This was the first part which had a quite simple background and not a lot of choreographies.
She changed her outfit and the second act began with Goodnight Gotham, then Consideration, a mash-up of Run This Town and Live Your Life, Umbrella and Desperado.
Second change of outfit for the third act which is the one she called "Party Time"!!! First song was Man Down, then Rude Boy, Work, Take Care, We Found Love and Where Have You Been.
Everything ended and I was still there trying to realize that she was there in front of my eyes with a giant smile on her face. I love her so much, I kept crying and I still do everytime I think about it.
I walked out of the venue slowly and crying, I wanted to go back in time and live all over again.
I bought a tshirt to obviously remember this incredible day and hoping she will come back as soon as possible.
