Hi loves! As I promised, here it is my Kylie Cosmetics Metals Review. These products are so cool right now and they are literally everywhere. I have already spoken about these lipsticks in my July Favorites (right here) but I didn't exactly review them. So since the review I did about the Kylie Glosses, which you can check out here, had an amazing feedback, I decided to swatch and say something about these products too.
I guess everyone knows Kylie Jenner and her extremely successful makeup line. As I have already said once, she started just with three lip kits and then added more and more products. The latest release is an amazing Birthday Collection that has been launched on Monday and it includes creme shadows, mini mattes, a makeup bag and many other products. Unfortunately every time I tried to buy the bundle, after waiting minutes to check out, it went sold out, but I am optimistic and I am gonna get it next restock.
Now let's go back to the metals. The first three shades were launched in April for Coachella, they had an amazing response and later in June she created the fourth color which is Kymajesty.
I got Heir, Reign and King K on the first release in April and Kymajesty on first release as well in June.
As for the shipping I have to say that it was really fast and without any problem. The were shipped one day after the order was placed and they were delivered in less than 15 days, so very quickly. I had to pay taxes, unfortunately. This is probably one of the few bad aspects about it, that is if you live outside the States you have to pay a lot of taxes on delivery. At the beginning they used to declare 1 $ for every lipstick so you didn't have to pay customs, now they are not doing it anymore. And that weighs a lot on us international customers. However I hope she is going to improve for example shipping could be free over a certain amount spent. That would be a great saving.
After all the "technical part", let's get to the products
themselves! The metals are available in four shades at the price of 18 $. I would say it is a standard high-end price for a lipstick.

They are called matte even though they are not exactly matte as the lip kits. I would say that the lasting time can be compared to the mattes, but the formula is a bit different.
The matte dry immediately, while the metals dry but not completely. You can still feel them on your lips but they are very moisturizing. This is a very good aspect because you don't need to hydrate the lips before applying them.
The pigmentation is excellent, they are very very pigmented except Kymajesty.
Usually I need just one application to cover my lips and have a perfect color, but that happens only with the first three shades. As for Kymajesty I found it not enough pigmented. If you swipe it just once on your lips, it's very see-through and you would need at least two/three
applications to have a full color.
They last a very long time even with eating and drinking, I always wear them with a matching lip liner because it helps defining the lip shape.
The shades are as follows:
- Heir, which is a golden metallic peach;
- King K, described as a soft metallic gold;
- Reign is a deep metallic copper;
- Kymajesty, that is a blackened gunmetal sprinkled with silver and multi-colored glitter on top
Personally I love King K and Reign because they suit my skin tone really well, King K is my most used so far. I wore it especially at concerts. I like Heir but only when I am tanned because it is very light so on lighter complexions it tends to wash you out. As for Kymajesty I am quite disappointed, I expected it to be as good as the others. The color is good but not the formula.

All in all I think they are very great products except for Kymajesty, I would definitely recommend them. Totally worth the price.
I hope you guys like this review, let me know if you have them what you think. Or if you would like to buy them, I hope this could help you choose. This is my completely honest opinion. Comment down below and I will see you next week. Have a great weekend,
xoxo, Sofia
